After investing millions of dollars into your core business software application SAP, the last thing you want to do is NOT use is rich and integrated functionality. Then of course managers, schedulers and contractors of mission-critical projects show up, pointing at the user-friendliness of scheduling tools like Primavera (click here for tips about SAP-Primavera Integration). Immediately you find yourself in a dilemma: Do you use SAP-only project management tools like PS (or PM and IM), or do you let your users (or at least your contractors) deal with supposed best-of-breed software like Primavera or MS Project? At least they get the critical job done, right? And you deal with the SAP stuff later... |

This site is about "solutions". It is about how to make complex projects work for users of SAP. There is no other site on the web with more information about this topic. We are trying to cut through press releases disguised as "success stories", and through marketing brochuers. What you get here is raw information, experience, assessments and practical advise - based on decades of experience with project management using SAP. We also present our own conclusions in form of pre-packaged solutions. Such solutions are process-focused. They require to look at the big picture and establish a systematic framework in which all key project management functions can be performed effectively. The tools to be used (SAP-PS, SAP-PM, Primavera, MS Project, Other SAP modules, external software packages) are secondary as long as the process requirements are met. |
